The manufacturer AsRock has introduced two new motherboards for the series processors Intel Bay Trail. The ASRock Q2900-ITX Mini-ITX format comes in, therefore, during the Q2900M suitable for mATX case. Unfortunately AsRock conceals even the prices and release dates. However, it is to be expected at about 60 euros. Both models are based on the Celeron J2900 2.41 GHz and up to 2.66 GHz in Turbo mode. In addition, Intel HD Graphics integrated with 688-896 MHz. According to AsRock both Bay Trail boards have a passive cooling without fan.
The AsRock Q2900M (mATX) provides a slot for PCIe x16 and two PCIe x1. There is also a port for USB 3.0 and stereo available. The Q2900-ITX other hand also provides one PCIe x16 but only one PCIe x1. For here are two USB 3.0 and 7.1 audio. On both models even feature VGA, DVI, HDMI, Ethernet and PS / 2 to corresponding terminals.
Basically, the ASRock Q2900-ITX is aimed at home users with multimedia preferences, while the Q2900M aimed rather at the office use.
