Owning a tablet is becoming a must, a little ‘as in the last decade for mobile phones and smartphones. The boom is due to increasingly affordable prices and to a technology that has improved the usability and everyday experience, transforming these devices (also) in suitable elements to productivity.
When you decide to buy a tablet, the most important choice is that of the operating system: better an Android, a Windows or an Apple product? We know that the house of Cupertino does not allow the installation of its software on other products, while for Android, Windows, and Linux, of course, this is not true.
If you do not want to be tied to the system, we announce the latest proposal for EviGroup, a French company producing the series SmartPad 2 and a new tablet that allows you to choose the operating system. Among the options, we find Windows 8.1, Windows 7 (to be added the cost of license) and Linux while, at the hardware level, we have two versions: one with Intel Celeron Dual-Core CPU, and one with a more powerful Intel Core i5.
SmartPad 2 has a 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels (a choice that looks more like a laptop) and is equipped with 4GB of RAM on a 64GB storage department. Other options include dual cameras (2 + 1 Mpx), USB 3.0, micro HDMI, micro-SD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional 3G module. The promotional images also show the stylus option, but there are still technical information on this aspect.
The price is not low. SmartPad 2 starts at 499 Euros for the basic version and 699 euro for the one with Core i5, a solution that seems more directed at the professional and corporate segment.
