In addition to the two new cameras, the X100T and the X-T1 Edition Graphite, Fujifilm has officially announced these days also two new objectives, the telephoto zoom Fujinon XF 50-140mm f / 2.8 R LM OIS WR and the wide-angle Fujinon XF56mm f / 1.2 R APD.
Fujinon XF 50-140mm f / 2.8 R LM OIS WR
The XF 50-140 mm telephoto zoom lens is the new high performance X series, corresponding to a 76-213 mm, and has a fixed aperture to 2.8. The structure of this optical zoom is made up of 23 glass elements in 16 groups, with five lenses and a Super ED lens comparable with a fluorite lens, which ensure maximum reduction of chromatic aberrations. On all surfaces of the lenses was applied treatment HT-EBC (Electron Beam Coating High Transmittance) that ensures clear and sharp images. Thanks to the technology of Nano-coating GI (Gradient Index) that alters the refractive index between air and glass, reflections and ghost images are minimized. Despite being a zoom, the internal mechanism does not change the focal length of the lens physics. The auto focus is also quick and quiet thanks to Triple Linear Motor.
The XF 50-140mm f / 2.8 R LM OIS WR will be available from December to € 1549.99.
The XF56mm f / 1.2 R APD is a wide-angle autofocus camera with APS-C sensor format corresponding to a 85 mm, especially suitable for making portraits. Thanks aperture f / 1.2 and the new optical element manages to create an exclusive bokeh effect, at the same time emphasizing the details. To operate even in conditions of high brightness the lens is equipped with an ND filter that adjusts the brightness integrated on three levels.
The optical structure is made up of 11 glass elements in 8 groups, with an aspherical lens and two molded lens with very low dispersion. Thanks to these two elements chromatic aberrations are drastically reduced. How nell’XF 50-140 mm on all lenses has been applied to the treatment of HT-EBC that, in addition to control flare and ghost, ensures the highest quality results in terms of sharpness and clarity.
