Google has introduced for India new smartphones under the banner “Android One”. Essentially, this is a cheap entry-level variant of the Nexus brand. Available are the most mobile terminals of the series starting in December. The first devices include already ordered the Spice Android One Dream UN Mi-498, Canvas Micromax Karbonn A1 and Sparkle V. Converted cost-called smartphones are all between about 75 to 90 euros. The specifications of all models here are very similar and include display of 4.5 inch diagonal and 854 x 480 pixels.
Inside each of the MediaTek MT6582 stuck with four cores and 1.3 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The latter is expandable via microSD up to 32 GB. Photos can either shoot with 2 megapixels with the camera with 5 or webcam. Each one comes with a 1700 mAh battery and dual SIM. The operating system used in each factory Google Android 4.4 – update to Android L are already confirmed.
Other partners, such as Google’s Acer, HTC and Lenovo are also to initiate smartphones branded Android One on the market. From the end of 2014 Google will expand the program beyond India to countries such as Indinesien. 2015, followed by other markets.
