After Samsung, Huawei and Apple is now LG tries in the development and production of its own smartphone processor. The advantage herein would appear to be a low cost, but also the better ability to adapt to these so-called system-on-chip (SoC).
With the LG G3 Screen now the first device was presented with the Nuclun 500 baptized SoC. It is an octa-core processor, in which four Cortex-A15 processors come with both 1.5 GHz next four Cortex-A7 processors with 1.2 GHz is used. The four-A15 cores to provide the necessary care performance in demanding applications, while the A7 cores should take less demanding tasks. This is to decrease the energy consumption and thus make longer battery life possible.
In addition to the new LG CPU installed a 5.9-inch Full-HD IPS display, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB depending on the version or 32 GB of internal memory. A microSD slot is also available. The remaining data are similar to those of the normal LG G3: 13 megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash, image stabilizer, a 2.1 megapixel camera on the front, LTE, Bluetooth, NFC and of course Wi-Fi 802.11ac to standard Miracast together.
For long maturities to a 3000 mAh battery strong, as in the LG G3, care. Due to the lower screen resolution and the supposedly more economical CPU so that should even slightly longer maturities than with the G3, be possible. When weight but it has increased considerably: Proud 182g brings the G3 screen on the scale.
For now, the G3 screen but will be available only in South Korea, whether and if so when it comes to Europe, is not known. Even at the prices there are therefore no information.
