Nvidia is planning two new mobile graphics solutions GeForce GTX 965M and 960M. This is clear from information from the official yet unpublished but leaked GeForce driver 344.77. There, the GeForce GTX 965M (13D9) is listed as part of the same series, as well as the GTX 980M (13D7) and GTX 970 (13D8). A GTX 960M is to follow – January 2015 and probably based on the Maxwell-chip GM206. The GeForce GTX 965M is especially close the gap between the GTX 980M and GTX 970M already available and the 800M.
So Nvidia needs more in the middle class, because here put most notebook manufacturers. As the GTX 960M is Codenme “N16P-GX” is listed in the driver data. “N16” stands for the Maxwell models of the series GeForce GTX 900M. In contrast, the 800M, GTX 860M as the (N15P-GX) have used the codename N15.
While the Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M to be unveiled in the next few weeks as part of new notebooks, we calculate as already mentioned with the GTX 960M until early 2015. The technical data are currently lacking information.
