Ockel Sirius A Windows 10 mini-PC

The Dutch company Ockel comes with Sirius A: have a new mini PC pocket with a full 64-bit version of Windows 10. The Sirius A is now fully financed through Indie Gogo and is expected around May 2017. Most readers will Ockel the review of Sirius B.

According Ockel the device is small enough to fit in your pocket. The Sirius A has a 6-inch Full HD touchscreen and an Intel Atom x7 8750 quad-core CPU (1.6 GHz to 2.56 GHz). The CPU is supported by 4 GB of RAM LPDDR3-1600. There is 64GB of eMMC storage memory available, which is expandable to 2TB via a microSD card. Sirius A supports 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2 with the Intel Wireless-AC 3165. There is a 3000 mAh battery available and the device has a gyroscope, an accelerometer and a magnetometer. On the front of the case there is a camera, speakers and microphone. In terms of connectivity, we find on the device two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio jack and the connector for the 36W adapter.



Ockel says it is working with Microsoft to integrate software features that work exclusively on Sirius A. One example is the ‘switch mode’, where the user can use the Sirius A as a mouse or keyboard, as soon as it is connected to a another monitor. Ockel further claims that the device 100 percent still doing his job. The Sirius A has no fans on board, but a heat sink to dissipate heat.

Ockel has already developed a prototype and is now working on his second. According Ockel comes from May 2017 the Sirius A in three (anodized aluminum) colors – Moon Silver, Meteor Grey and Venus Gold – and will eventually cost $ 699.
