The DMP-UB700 player is Ultra HD Premium certified and will be available in Italy from October to 599 Euros.
Panasonic has just concluded a press conference at IFA 2016. Among the products announced (and promptly anticipated by rumors) is the new Ultra HD Blu-ray player DMP-UB700. This model will complement the current DMP-UB900. The two products will not be installed on the same price range: the top of the range will remain UB900 and UB700 will be proposed at a lower price.
What changes than UB900? Apart from some slight external difference, the allocation of UB700 waiver of certain features and functionality. They are no longer present the 7.1 analog outputs, the audio section is less valuable. E ‘was instead kept the 4K High Precision Chroma processor, called to handle upscaling to Ultra HD resolution (at 24, 50 and 60p) and the conversion of video championships in 4: 2: 0 8-bit, which can be processed in the 4: 4: 4 12-bit (if with 24 frames per second) or 4: 2: 2 (at 50 or 60 frames).
The budget also includes playback of various file types (we quote HEVC, MKV, M2TS, AVI, WMV, DivX, FLAC, ALAC, DSD up to 5,6MHz and WAV) via USB or from the local network streaming (DLNA). Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Miracast. No shortage of applications for access to Netflix and YouTube.
the two HDMI outputs are present (to separate audio and video, so you can manage all functions even with amplifiers not equipped with HDMI 2.0a) and an Ethernet port, and audio is conveyed solely through an optical digital output.
The price of DMP-UB700 list should be around 549 euros. Availability is scheduled for the Autumn.
