Shuttle has announced the release of a new, fourth generation monoblock PC X50. The product is still enclosed in weatherproof housing (degree of protection – IP54), but based on the new platform: Intel Haswell (Intel Celeron 2957U) against Intel Cedar Trail-D (Intel Atom D2700) in X50 V3.
Shuttle X50 V4 is designed for commercial use – in digital advertising and information systems working 24/7 and at temperatures from 0 to 40⁰C. The computer has a touch screen 15.6 inch 1366 x 768 pixels, web-camera 2 megapixel resolution, stereo speakers with total capacity of 4 watts, adapters Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek 8111G) and Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n. Installing RAM and storage farmed out to the customer: for bars RAM has one slot DDR3L SO-DIMM, and as a primary data store may be used alone HDD or SSD size 2.5 inches with interface SATA.
