Microsoft today released three new commercials for the Surface Pro 3, in which the tablet laptop hybrid directly Apple’s MacBook Air is juxtaposed with – with result. The clips remind inevitably something of Apple’s Mac vs. PC commercials that successfully switched Californians during the 2000s because they are made humorous and also have the slightly sarcastic tone. Microsoft’s underlying message, however, is clear: Because of touch screen and stylus input the Surface Pro 3 is more for your money than offer the MacBook Air.
In terms of advertising Microsoft is increasingly focusing on providing its new products directly from popular Apple products, while slightly smugly to pull the competitors through the mud. This happened among other spots, compare a Windows tablet with Apple’s iPad.
Why, however, Microsoft ever tried the Surface Pro 3 against the MacBook Air to position? The response is divided into two. Firstly, the MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops at all, on the other hand wants to be Microsoft’s newest Windows device specifically as “tablet that can replace your laptop” market.
